Bachelor's Degree In Social Work ( BSW )

BSW is a three-year professional degree course in Social Work. The entire course is oriented towards working with the people. Students possessing immense zeal and enthusiasm will find profound satisfaction by pursuing this course and practicing it in helping the needy.

It is a helping profession of prevention, intervention and rehabilitation, which alleviates problems and enables people to realize their full potentials. The course lays a strong foundation for postgraduate education in Social Work (MSW) and in MBA, Personnel Management and Industrial Relations / Human Resources management and other P.G. Courses. The degree is eligible for appearing for all the competitive exams conducted by the Govt.

Bsw I Year

PATTERN OF EXAMINATIONS


Theory

Examinations for theory papers are conducted by the Osmania University at the end of every academic year.

Field Work

Field work Assessment is done at two levels :

Internal Assessment

Internal Field Work Assessment is a continuous Process. Students are assessed on the basis of their attendance in field work , submission of field work records and attendance in the field work supervisory conferences. At the end of each term an Internal Evaluation is conducted during which students are awarded internal marks.

External Assessment

External Assessment is conducted by an External Examiner appointed by the Osmania University at the end of every academic year. External Marks are awarded during the viva-voce examination conducted.
